Prem Bahadur Basnet is a Nepali film director known for his contribution to the early development of Nepali cinema and for directing the culturally important film Kumari.After completing his B.Ed., Basnet received scholarships to study abroad, including one from a university in Hawaii, USA, and another to study scriptwriting at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, India. While many students at the time were going to the United States for higher education, Basnet chose to pursue film studies in Pune because of his strong interest in cinema.He studied there for two years, going to Pune in 1962 and returning to Nepal in 1964. After returning, he worked at Nepal’s Information Department, where he became involved in cultural and media-related activities.Having studied filmmaking, Basnet was more interested in creating original and artistic films rather than purely commercial cinema. During this period, when Nepal was invited to represent the country in international film festivals, he decided to make a film based on the living goddess Kumari tradition of the Newar community in Kathmandu.This idea eventually led to the creation of Kumari, which became an important cultural film portraying Nepal’s traditions and social life. Through his work, Prem Bahadur Basnet helped introduce culturally rooted and artistic storytelling to Nepali cinema.

Deependra Gauchan is a renowned Nepali film director, screenwriter, and producer who has made significant contributions to the film industries of both Nepal and Cambodia. Contributions in Nepal "Ujeli: A Child Bride in Nepal": This social tragic drama, directed by Deependra Gauchan and produced by UNICEF, highlights the issue of child marriage in Nepal. The film portrays the life of a 10-year-old girl forced into an arranged marriage, shedding light on the sharp distinctions between the roles of boys and girls in Nepal. Other Works: Deependra has also worked on various other projects, including "Sneh Svaikun 4" and "Viplas/Rachana," showcasing his versatility and dedication to the Nepali film industry. Contributions in Cambodia "Love 2 the Power of 4": Deependra co-directed this Khmer-language romantic comedy alongside Cambodian co-director and co-writer Sothea Ines. The film explores the relationships of four young, middle-class Cambodian couples as they navigate their professional and romantic aspirations. It addresses sensitive issues such as relationships between transgender people, trauma, suicide, and abortion, making it a significant contribution to Cambodian cinema. Deependra Gauchan's work in both Nepal and Cambodia has been instrumental in addressing social issues and promoting cultural narratives through film. Birendra Hamal is a theater artist, mentor and director. He has taught acting to hundreds of actors. Veteran actor and play director Birendra Hamal, who has been working in the theater for the past 35 years, has directed about 5 dozen plays, and has acted in hundreds of plays and a dozen films. Birendra, who became a hero in the film 'Godhuli', has already presented his acting skills in films like majadur, kaha bhetiyela, a mero hajur, shahid, sukha-dukha.

Suresh Darpan Pokharel (born 5 November 1983, Chhoprak, Gorkha) is a Nepali film director, media personality, and digital entrepreneur active since 2002. He made his directorial debut with Nishana and went on to direct several commercial Nepali films including Bhool Bhaye Maaf Gara, Kaslai Diun Yo Joban, Miss U, 3 Lovers, and Love Birds.Before entering filmmaking, he worked in Nepali radio as an RJ at Radio Lumbini, Synergy FM, and Nepal FM, later becoming a well‑known VJ and program producer at Nepal Television, Kantipur Television, and Channel Nepal. His media career includes directing over 100+ music videos, documentaries, and TV commercials.He currently resides in the Dallas–Fort Worth, USA, serving as Chairman of Maya Digital and hosting the popular diaspora podcast Namaste USA on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. He also runs THE SDP TIMES, a Nepali community digital channel.His contributions to Nepali cinema earned him appointments to the Central Film Censor Board and the Film Development Board of Nepal, and he has served as Secretary of the Directors Guild of Nepal and Nepal Film Producers Association (NFPA). He is also recognized for social work as President of We For All, receiving a Contribution Award from the Prime Minister of Nepal (2015) for earthquake relief efforts.
