Zaun Yonzan is a Nepali filmmaker best known as the director of Crawling Crows: Aankha, Nepal’s first film to win Best Film at the 62nd Asia Pacific Film Festival in 2025. Yadav Kharel (born 23 February 1943 in Kavrepalanchowk) is a veteran Nepali film director, writer, lyricist, and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential creative figures in Nepali cinema. He was among the first Nepali filmmakers to earn a formal diploma in Film Direction and Production from the London Film School in 1971, establishing a new professional standard in the industry . Kharel began his career at Radio Nepal before transitioning into filmmaking, where he became known for directing genre‑defining works, including Nepal’s first major comedy‑satire, historical drama, historical biopic, and mythological film . He also served as the founding chairperson of the Film Development Board (2000–2002), shaping national film policy and institutional growth .    

Prasanna Poudyal is a Nepali film director and music video director best known for directing the feature film Swor – The Melody of Dreams (2011), a project recognized for introducing several new faces to Nepali cinema and for its fresh, experimental approach within the mainstream film landscape.Before entering feature films, he built his reputation as a well‑known music video director, contributing to Nepal’s modern music scene with visually expressive storytelling.His directorial debut Swor remains his most recognized work, praised for its casting choices and its attempt to break away from formulaic filmmaking. He later directed Mero Best Friend and has worked on upcoming projects including Kamaleko Bihe.
