Shikhar Santosh

Tika Bhandari is a Nepalese song composer and singer of Nepali music. He has composed music for over 500 Nepali modern songs and has released a total of 23 music albums. He is best known for composing songs like Goli Sishako, Khusi Ta Kahan (Deep Shrestha), Kina Dukcha Timro Man (Prem Dhoj Pradhan), Yo Maya Bhanne Chij (Anju Panta) Gaule, Jo Desh Lai (Kiran Pradhan), Ma Sabda Charera (Deepak Kharel), Chanchale Timra (Rabin Sharma), Chiso Chiso Sun Koshi (Kumar Kancha), Hamro Prem ko Katha (Karna Das), Harka Jeet (Tika Bhandari, Rajesh Payal Rai), Chhati Bhitra Dhuk Dhuki (Tika Bhandari), Qatar Gaye Suadi Gaye (Dekendra Thapa), Aadha Bato (Swarup Raj), Barsat ma uni rujhda (Ram Krishna Dhakal), Sagarmatha Roi Rahechha(Ram Krishna Dhakal), Gangalal ko Jasto mutu (Shiva Pariyar), Timro Man Bata (Pramod Kharel), Ma ta hajur van ko driver (Udit Narayan Jha), Jhilimili Gaun Gharai Ramailo (Deepa Narayan Jha), Ko Sanga Chaina Afno Simana (Mohammed Aziz) etc. Most of the Nepalese singers have sung his compositions. He received Nepal Bidhya Bhusan in 2003 for being faculty topper in M.A. in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. He is also the Deputy Director of Radio Nepal. On 19 May 2016, he participated an environmental song by 365 Nepali artists lyrics and music by Nipesh Dhaka, in entitled Melancholy which set a Guinness World Records.

Ranjit Gazmer (also spelled Ranjit Gajmer) is a renowned Nepali film music composer, arranger, and instrumentalist known for his major contributions to Nepali cinema and South Asian music. Born on October 3, 1941, in Darjeeling, India, he developed an early passion for music and studied under legendary composer Amber Gurung at the Art Academy of Music in Darjeeling.Gazmer began his professional journey as a studio musician at Radio Nepal in the late 1960s before moving to Mumbai in 1971, where he worked closely with the legendary Bollywood composer R. D. Burman. As a skilled percussionist—particularly known for playing the Nepali madal—he contributed to numerous Hindi film recordings and became part of Burman’s core musical team for many years.He later established himself as one of the most influential music directors in Nepali cinema, composing music for many classic films such as Samjhana, Kusume Rumal, Saino, Lahure, and Darpan Chhaya. His music played a significant role in shaping the sound and popularity of modern Nepali film songs.Gazmer is also credited with arranging one of the early Nepali songs sung by Asha Bhosle, helping bridge Nepali and Indian film music cultures. Over decades of work as a composer, arranger, and instrumentalist, Ranjit Gazmer has remained one of the most respected figures in Nepali film music history.

Prakash Gurung is a respected Nepalese musician and singer from Darjeeling, celebrated for his emotive vocal style and enduring contribution to Nepali adhunik and folk music. Inspired in childhood, he trained under iconic figures such as Amber Gurung, Gopal Yonzon, Karma Yonzon, and Nati Kazi, and even assisted Narayan Gopal during performances in Darjeeling.Active since the 1970s, he is known for timeless songs like Binti Chha Hai, Othma Aljhiyeko Bachan Deu, and Ma Bhani Bacheko Priya, blending traditional melodies with emotional depth. His career spans playback singing, composition, and music direction, including collaborations with leading artists and performances such as his 2014 Paleti duet with his daughter Reema Hoda Gurung. He has also served as a judge on Nepali Tara and continues contributing to Nepali film music into the 2020s.
