Roshan K Shrestha

Manju Kumar Shrestha is a Nepali cinematographer who played an important role in the early technical development of Nepal’s film industry. In 2029 B.S., he joined the Royal Nepal Film Corporation (then known as Shahi Nepali Chalchitra Sansthan).In 2030 B.S., he worked as a film photographer for the corporation’s first production, Man Ko Bandh. At that time, most technical experts in Nepali filmmaking—such as directors, cameramen, and lighting technicians—had to be brought from India due to the lack of local professionals.During the shooting of Man Ko Bandh, the Indian cinematographer fell ill, and Shrestha stepped in to operate the camera himself. Although he carried out much of the filming, he was credited only as an assistant cameraman when the film was released. This experience marked the beginning of his career as a cinematographer.He later went on to shoot many Nepali films, including Kumari, recognized as Nepal’s first color film, and Jeevan Rekha. Over the course of his career, Manju Kumar Shrestha has worked as a cinematographer on more than 70 films, making a significant contribution to the growth and technical progress of Nepali cinema.

Shyam Mohan Shrestha is a veteran Nepali cinematographer known for his refined visual style and consistent contributions to Nepali cinema from the late 1970s onward. Active for more than four decades, he has worked across landmark films that shaped the visual language of the industry. His cinematography is recognized for its balanced lighting, grounded realism, and strong narrative sensitivity, particularly in social dramas and romantic features.He is best known for his work in acclaimed films such as Kumari (1977), Sindoor (1980), Badlido Aakash (1983), Ke Ghar Ke Dera (1985), Maya Preeti (1989), Badal (1994), Saubhagya (1995), and the celebrated Gothalo (1996). His career also extends into film production, including the feature Ghumto (2001). Shrestha remains regarded as one of the steady, foundational cinematographers of his generation, contributing to the evolution of Nepali film aesthetics.

Roshan Das is a Nepali film director, music video director, lyricist, actor, and content creator from Godaita, Sarlahi, Nepal. At the age of 23, he has established himself as one of the emerging young filmmakers in Nepal through his dedication, creativity, and perseverance. Before entering feature filmmaking, Roshan directed more than 70 music videos and wrote over 10 songs. His notable directorial works include Bayan, Aadat, and Ramāune Manchhe, while his songwriting credits include Aafnai Swartha, Naya Itihas, Bhool Bhayo, and songs for his debut feature film Pratibairam. Despite having no formal education in filmmaking, Roshan built his career through practical experience and self-learning. He began creating videos during the COVID-19 pandemic using his father's Android phone before progressing to professional productions. His journey has been defined by persistence, overcoming financial and industry challenges while pursuing his passion for storytelling. The project represents years of determination and reflects his vision of creating original, audience-focused cinema. In addition to directing, he also contributed as a lyricist to the film. Gauri Shanker Dhunju is a Nepali cinematographer known for his steady visual craftsmanship across feature films, music videos, and television productions. Active for many years in Nepal’s evolving film and broadcast landscape, he has been closely associated with the iconic comedy duo “Maha Jodi,” contributing to numerous awareness‑based TV serials, short films, and social‑message projects produced under Maha Sanchar. His long collaboration with the team strengthened his reputation for clean visuals, controlled lighting, and dependable on‑set execution. Alongside cinematography, Dhunju has also appeared on screen in select roles, reflecting his comfort both behind and in front of the camera.
