Pawan Chamling is widely known as a politician, but he has also made contributions as a poet and writer. Additionally, he has been involved in creative projects such as the films Ma ta Sikkime (2011) and Hajar Juni Samma (2019). Shiva Regmi (1965–2013) was one of Nepal’s most influential film directors, screenwriters, and producers, known for shaping mainstream Nepali cinema through emotional family dramas, strong female characters, and commercially successful films such as Aafanta, Aafno Manche, A Mero Hajur, Sukha Dukha, Duniya, Hami Tin Bhai, Muglan, and Kaha Bhetiyela. Active from 1991–2013, he directed over 20 major films and contributed as writer, lyricist, production designer, and actor across 100+ film credits. He received multiple National Film Awards, including Best Director (2010, 2012) and Best Writer (2013).

Biswa Basnet is an actor and writer, known for Anyay (1989), Kumari (1977) and Sindoor (1980).
