Sanjay Lama (Sanjay Lopchan Tamang) is the well known cinematographer in Nepali Film. Lama was born on 27 August 1977 in Lalitpur Nepal. Lama is the best cinematographer of Nepali film. He has been the recipient of 15 best cinematographer Awards Including three National Film Awards, two NFDC National Film Awards, NEFTA Film Awards, Kamana Film Awards, Inas Film Awards, Global Nepali Film Awards, Box Office Film Awards, FAAN Awards and LG Film Awards. After working on various technical roles for a long time, Lama has debuted as a cinematographer in the movie Kasle Choryo Mero Man in 2000. Since then, he has been successful in various movies like Bato Muniko Phool, Sayaad, A Mero Hajur 3, Moun, Dreams, Summer Love, Masan etc.

With a background in computer engineering, he transitioned into filmmaking through a deep passion for photography and motion pictures. Education & Training Mainali holds a Bachelor's degree in Motion Picture Photography from Oscar College of Film Studies, Tribhuvan University.
