He began his career as an associate director and writer, contributing to narrative development and on‑set creative execution across multiple projects before transitioning into full‑fledged direction.He made his directorial debut with the rural‑romance feature Malati Mangale, a film he also wrote, produced by singer‑actor Ram Krishna Dhakal.

Known for her expressive screen presence and soft, youthful acting style, she became visible in the early 2010s as part of the new wave of actresses transitioning from modeling and music videos into mainstream cinema. Before her film debut, she worked in multiple romantic and modern‑themed music videos, which helped her gain recognition among young audiences.Although Rhythm introduced her to the big screen, Nishma continued to appear selectively in film and media projects. Over time, she gradually stepped back from the Nepali film industry and is currently not active in mainstream cinema.
