Ram Keshar Bogati

Gopal Bhutani (born Gopal Tamang, 1932 – November 23, 2010) was a pioneering Nepali art director, actor, and action choreographer who shaped the visual language of Nepali cinema. Born in Fikkal, Ilam, he began his film journey in Bollywood in the 1940s before returning to Nepal, where he introduced action direction to a melodrama-dominated industry. Despite his immense contributions, he struggled to obtain Nepali citizenship due to the “Bhutani” surname. Bhutani worked on over 70 films, including Balidaan, Aago, Shankar, Mamaghar, Shiris Ko Phool, and Jeevan Sangharsha. He passed away at age 78 from stomach cancer. His legacy remains foundational in Nepali film aesthetics and action choreography.

Jayanendra Chand Thakuri (1942–2020) was a prolific Nepali film actor whose career helped shape the foundation of modern Nepali cinema. A former Indian Army serviceman and Jawalakhel Youth Club cricketer, he entered films with Jeevan Rekha (1982) and went on to appear in over 100 films, becoming one of the most recognizable character actors of his era. Known for his grounded performances in social dramas, romantic stories, and action narratives, he brought emotional weight and authenticity to every role. His notable works include Kanchhi, Bishwas, Maya Preeti, Pheri Bhetaula, Angarakshyak, and Parkhi Base. He remained active until 2011 and is remembered as a respected, steady pillar of Nepali cinema.

Mukunda Shrestha is a veteran Nepali film actor recognized for his powerful presence in action, antagonist, and character roles across more than four decades of cinema. Emerging during the formative years of modern Nepali filmmaking, he built a reputation for intensity, discipline, and memorable screen performances. His work spans notable films such as Kohinoor, Basain, Muskan, and several mainstream action features that defined their era. After stepping away from the industry for nearly a decade, he returned with renewed energy in Laaj Sharanam, reaffirming his commitment to Nepali cinema and his enduring connection with audiences.

Harisha Baniya is a Nepali model, dancer, and film artist active since around 2010, known for her expressive performances in music videos, stage shows, and television. She rose to wide recognition through the popular comedy serial Meri Bassai, where her portrayal of the Terai‑origin character “Bhuniya” became highly appreciated by audiences. Alongside television, she has acted in nearly three dozen telefilms and several Nepali films, expanding her presence across visual media.Harisha also worked in Bhojpuri cinema as a leading actress, further showcasing her versatility across regional industries. In 2065 BS, she earned the title of Purwanchal Top in Bhojpuri dance, highlighting her strong foundation in performance and movement. After marrying in 2075 BS, she gradually stepped away from the entertainment field and is currently not active in acting or modeling.
