Nishu Sharma

Born on September 12th in Kavresthali, Rawaltar, Shashi Rawal developed a passion for singing at a young age. Encouraged by her parents, Shashi pursued her musical dreams, despite initial resistance from her father. Her love for music blossomed as she started writing her own lyrics and composing songs, and her talent was soon recognized after winning a competition that led to her recording her first song. Her breakthrough moment came with the song "Chahana Sakiyo", which garnered significant attention and appreciation. This success paved the way for her to collaborate with popular singer Yash Kumar on his album, marking a major milestone in her career. Over the years, Shashi has contributed to various albums, remixes, and jingles, establishing herself as a talented and versatile artist. With a gold medal in her junior diploma from Kala Nidhi Indira Sangeet Maha Vidhalaya, Shashi Rawal continues to grow as an artist, constantly exploring new avenues to express her passion for music.

Cool Pokharel (1974–2004) was a pioneering Nepali pop singer whose soulful voice helped shape the early 2000s music scene. Gopal Yonjan (1943–1997) was a towering figure in Nepali music—an accomplished singer, lyricist, music director, arranger, flutist, and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Darjeeling, India, he began his musical journey with the flute, winning accolades as a young performer. His deep study of Nepali folk, Rabindra Sangeet, and classical traditions shaped a career that spanned over three decades and more than 2,000 compositions. Yonjan moved to Kathmandu in 1967 to pursue his MA in Nepali and taught music at prestigious schools while composing for Radio Nepal, Nepal Police Club, and films. His partnership with Narayan Gopal is considered the golden era of Nepali modern music. He was known for blending poetic depth with rich orchestration, often writing, composing, and arranging his own songs. His works spanned genres—patriotic, romantic, philosophical, spiritual, and children's music. He was honored with the Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, Chinnalata Song Award, and multiple Best Music Director titles. His legacy continues to inspire generations of musicians and listeners.

Pooja Pariyar is a versatile Nepali singer and performer known for her emotive vocals and musical depth. She gained national attention as a contestant in Nepal Idol Season 1 (2017) and later showcased her talent again in The Voice of Nepal Season 2 (2019), performing songs like “Ma Chahi Nepali” with heartfelt delivery. Beyond singing, Pooja is also a music instrumentalist, often sharing clips of her playing and experimenting with melodies on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. Her cover of “Kaha Kaha Dukhxa Priye” reflects her ability to reinterpret classics with emotional nuance.
