Yogesh Vaidya was a Nepalese singer and musician, often referred to as the Muhammad Rafi of Nepal. He was born in Kathmandu between 1946 and 1947 and passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 77. Vaidya was known for his contributions to Nepali and Newari-language music, with popular songs like "Sapana Bhulayee Saara," "Mero Aanshumaa Nahanse," and "Nepal Mero Timilai Upahar Bhayo". He also sang well-known Newari songs such as "Jai Namo Siri Buddha Bhagwan" and "Jimi Yahmah Thaun Jithay Wai". Beyond music, he worked in civil service for 33 years, retiring as a joint secretary in 2005. He held a master’s degree in food and nutrition from Ghent University, Belgium. Born on May 22, 1990, in Sikkim, India, he grew up in Baglung, Nepal, and began his career in Kathmandu as a side dancer before transitioning into music. He rose to fame with viral hits like “Dushman Hereko Herei,” “Don Aayo Don,” “Bicha Bichama,” and “Chhoto Miniskirt,” which have become staples during Nepali festivals and celebrations. His music blends traditional Lok Dohori with modern pop, often laced with humor and social commentary. He’s also known for his flamboyant fashion and choreography, making his performances visually striking.

Ankit Babu Adhikari is a musician, singer and lyricist from Kathmandu, known from his as finalist in Nepali Tara season 3 & the voice. Ankit started his musical career by composing and performing songs for a post-modern play Coma; A Political Sex staged at Shilpee Theatre, Kathmandu in 2014. His another major milestone includes his solo concert organised in tribute to Narayan Gopal.In 2014-15 he made it to Nepali Tara after which he gained wider audience throughout Nepal and abroad. His first original release is Ram Naam, a song that questions the physical existence of God; that was critically acclaimed in Nepal. He continued his experiment in a 2016 release Nau Futey Bhoot (9 ft. ghost), a song about Indian Blockade in Nepal, for which the Japan-based magazine The Diplomat named him Nepal's Singing Storyteller.
