Gautam Dhimal has been in the film and photography industry since more than a decade and a half. He is the CEO/Line Producer at Location Nepal Pvt. Ltd.. With his profound passion in film making and photography, he has worked as a Producer, Line Producer and Assistant Director for numerous International productions in Nepal. Gautam’s photographic skills and his wide gamut of knowledge in both theory and practice has been highly acclaimed and appreciated by many International and local clients.

Min Ratna Bajracharya is widely celebrated as one of Nepal’s pioneering photojournalists, known for his instinctive eye and deep connection to the streets of Kathmandu. His career spans over three decades, during which he captured some of the most iconic moments in Nepal’s political and cultural history. One of his most famous photographs is of student activist Durga Thapa during the 1990 People’s Movement—leaping with vermilion-stained fingers in a double victory sign. That image became a powerful symbol of Nepal’s democratic awakening. Bajracharya’s journey into photography was unconventional. He began selling postcards and helping tourists in Swayambhu, gradually developing a keen sense of visual storytelling. Despite working as a tailor for years, his passion for photography never waned. Encouraged by friends and mentors, he eventually transitioned into full-time photojournalism. He’s known for his technical skill and ability to find stories in everyday life. His deep familiarity with Kathmandu’s neighborhoods gave him unique access and insight, allowing him to document everything from political upheavals to quiet moments of daily life. Even as he approached retirement, Bajracharya remained humble and hopeful about the next generation of photographers, praising their speed and adaptability in the digital age.

Bibek Shrestha: Capturing Moments Through the Lens Bibek Shrestha is a gifted young photographer hailing from Nepal. His journey into photography began early—almost as if it were destined. 📷 Born into a family of photographers, Bibek’s childhood was steeped in the art of capturing moments. His father, a professional photographer, owned the renowned “Machhindra Photo Studio,” established back in 1978 in Tangal, Lalitpur, Nepal. With such a rich heritage, it’s no wonder that Bibek’s passion for photography bloomed from an early age. He inherited not just the technical skills but also the love for storytelling through images.

Beginning his creative journey in the late 1970s, he first worked as a photojournalist for publications such as Nepal Samacharpatra, Mahanagar, and Sadhana, where his dynamic field photography established his early reputation.A multi‑skilled artist with a background in tailoring, crafts, music, and classical dance, Suwal eventually transitioned fully into still photography and visual production. He founded Creative D Studio in 2006, a Kathmandu‑based agency recognized for commercial, fashion, advertising, and portrait photography.Over the years, Suwal has become a respected mentor and industry figure, serving as Past President of the National Photojournalists Association (NPPA) and continuing to influence Nepal’s visual media landscape through studio work, training, and creative leadership.
