Tara Devi

Hemant Sharma is a renowned Nepali singer, songwriter, and musician known for his contributions to modern, pop, and folk music. Born in Triveni, Nawalparasi, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Tribhuvan University before making a name for himself in the music industry. His first album, Oh Priya, was released in 2000, but it was his song Maya Sarai Mahango from a 2002 album that brought him widespread recognition. Over the years, Sharma has recorded more than 100 songs and released over seven solo albums. He has also served as the president of the Performers Society of Nepal from 2015 to 2017. His music style blends folk, Nepali modern, and pop influences, making him a beloved figure in Nepalese music.  

Pradeep Raj Pandey is a Nepali modern‑song vocalist known for his expressive singing style and recordings featured across Nepali audio labels and digital platforms. His notable songs include “Kina Aauchha Yaad,” “Kamjor Nasamjha,” and “Pathar Ko Mutu Banai,” which continue to circulate among Nepali listeners through radio, albums, and online music channels. His discography is also catalogued on AllMusic, reflecting his presence in the contemporary Nepali music scene. Although he maintains a low public profile, his recorded works have earned him recognition among modern Nepali music audiences.

Suresh Lama is a Nepali singer who rose to public recognition through his participation in leading Nepali singing reality shows, including Nepali Tara, where he reached the Top‑3 and became widely known among audiences. He later continued his musical journey through platforms like Nepal Idol (participation referenced in public discussions, though not officially documented in available sources).As an active modern and folk‑influenced singer, Suresh Lama has built a strong presence on YouTube, releasing popular songs such as “Maya Basyo,” “Jhyammai Chhopani,” “Kausi Love,” and several other trending tracks that have collectively earned millions of views. His music often blends melodic modern Nepali styles with emotional storytelling, helping him connect with audiences in Nepal and abroad.

Ram Thapa (1958–2008) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, music director, and Radio Nepal presenter known for his humorous and socially conscious songs. Born in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, he began his musical career in 1974 and became a 7th Grade Music Director at Radio Nepal. He sang over 150 folk songs and directed music for more than 200, with hits like Thok Na Madal Thok, Timi Yesai Lajayau, and Ritu Haruma Timi, which was ranked 7th by BBC in 2003. He was the first to publish Nepali music books with lyrics and chords, contributing to music education. Ram Thapa also served as a judge on Nepali Tara I & II, mentoring young talent. He passed away in 2008 due to liver disease.
