Beyond the television spotlight, Raj has continued to grow as a versatile folk and contemporary singer. He gained significant recognition through his involvement in the popular Purbeli Juhari song: “Besi Gaiko Goth” – Performed alongside Abhay Dhungel, Alina Rai, and Susmita Katwal, this culturally resonant song brings to life everyday stories from the eastern hills of Nepal, particularly from Mane Bhanjyang, Unbu, Waksa, and Udaypur. The song’s lively rhythm and nostalgic lyrics have made it a fan favorite on social platforms. Raj Rai’s style balances the power of traditional storytelling with modern arrangements, contributing to a new wave of Nepali music that feels both rooted and refreshing.

Sanup Paudel is a professional singer of Nepal. He was born in Shillong, India. He is the youngest among four siblings. Sanup rose to fame after a singing contest had come up, called Geet Bahar, run by Gulshan Kumar in Mumbai. Sanup was at the age of nineteen when he applied for this contest and was finally selected. Early life and Education He learned the classical music, under the singer Shukla Dham, after completion of his bachelor education in Ethnomusicology at the Kathmandu University. A few after completion of this education, he got a chance to enroll in School of Oriental and African Studies in the UK for about half a year. Born and raised in India he came to Nepal in the year 1997 as a young musician. He registered for vocal lessons from Prabhu Raj Dhaka as some school lessons and also private classes outside of school.

Yatiraj Adhikari is a respected Nepali violinist, music educator, and classical performer from Dang, Nepal. He serves as a Lecturer at Sirjana College of Fine Arts and an Assistant Professor of Music at Lalit Kala Campus, Nepal’s premier fine arts institution. With a deep foundation in Hindustani classical music, Yatiraj is known for his soulful violin renditions of ragas such as Bihag and Bageshree, often performed in both solo and collaborative settings. He is also a core member of Sampada (The Heritage) Band, a group dedicated to preserving and innovating traditional Nepali music. His performances—featured on platforms like Aashram Music and in international venues such as Frankfurt—highlight his technical finesse and emotional depth. Beyond performance, Yatiraj is committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians through teaching, workshops, and cultural research, making him a vital force in Nepal’s evolving musical heritage.
