He was diagnosed with pneumonia and bone cancer and passed away on August 10, 2014, at the age of 47. His funeral was attended by thousands of people, and he was given national honors by the Nepal Government.

After a long break from television, he joined Nepal Idol Season 2. he has directed more than 200 music videos, more than 100 television commercials.
