Shanti Shree Pariyar is one of Nepal's most celebrated folk singers, songwriters, and composers, renowned for her powerful voice and significant contribution to Nepali folk and modern music. Born in Rolpa, Nepal, in 1989, she overcame a challenging childhood and pursued her dream of becoming a singer from an early age.At the age of sixteen, she moved to Kathmandu to build her musical career and spent several years performing in various Dohori establishments. To strengthen her musical foundation, she received formal vocal training under Guru Chandan Kumar Shrestha at Gandarbha Kala Kendra and successfully passed Radio Nepal's vocal examination in 2009.Shanti Shree began her professional recording career with the album Ghar Chha Tin Tale in 2011. She rose to nationwide prominence through a series of hit songs, including Bola Maya, Galbandi, Chauka Dau, Areli Kadaile Malai, Baseu Alakkai, and many others. Jhuma Limbu is a talented Nepali singer, folk musician, and music researcher. She has made significant contributions to preserving and promoting Nepali folk music. Here’s more about her: Early Life and Education: Jhuma Limbu was born in Dhungesaghu VDC (now Maiwakhola rural municipality) in Taplejung district, Eastern Nepal. She grew up as the youngest child among six siblings. Jhuma started singing by participating in Dhan Nach, a traditional Limbu folk dance and music custom. After completing her SLC level education in 2001, she moved to Kathmandu, where she passed the voice test at Radio Nepal and decided to stay. She pursued her education at Lalit Kala Campus, a fine arts college . Music Career: Jhuma released her first album, “Eh Saila”, under the mentorship of classical musician Chandan Kumar Shrestha. She further honed her skills under the guidance of Amber Gurung, a renowned Nepali musician who composed the Nepali national anthem. Her second album, “Amber Sangeet”, was a tribute to her mentor. Most of the songs in this album were composed by Gurung himself. In 2014, she released an album titled “Khaasaam”, which features solo and ensemble performances based on Limbu culture. Jhuma Limbu actively participates in the Raithane Sangeet Abhiyan, a movement dedicated to conserving and promoting Nepali folk music. She has also researched and documented various singing methods used by indigenous communities and folk instruments throughout Nepal . Notable Work: Jhuma Limbu’s contributions extend beyond her albums. She has actively researched various Nepali folk music genres and instruments. Additionally, she received recognition from Yakhung Yuwa Manch, Lalitpur for her efforts in preserving folk music . Film Music: Jhuma, along with Ganga Thapa, composed the music for the 2022 Nepali film “Jaar”, based on a story by Indra Bahadur Rai. The film, directed by Phurba Tshering Lama, features actors Anoop Bikram Shahi, Geetanjali Thapa, and Saugat Malla . Tika Bhandari is a Nepalese song composer and singer of Nepali music. He has composed music for over 500 Nepali modern songs and has released a total of 23 music albums. He is best known for composing songs like Goli Sishako, Khusi Ta Kahan (Deep Shrestha), Kina Dukcha Timro Man (Prem Dhoj Pradhan), Yo Maya Bhanne Chij (Anju Panta) Gaule, Jo Desh Lai (Kiran Pradhan), Ma Sabda Charera (Deepak Kharel), Chanchale Timra (Rabin Sharma), Chiso Chiso Sun Koshi (Kumar Kancha), Hamro Prem ko Katha (Karna Das), Harka Jeet (Tika Bhandari, Rajesh Payal Rai), Chhati Bhitra Dhuk Dhuki (Tika Bhandari), Qatar Gaye Suadi Gaye (Dekendra Thapa), Aadha Bato (Swarup Raj), Barsat ma uni rujhda (Ram Krishna Dhakal), Sagarmatha Roi Rahechha(Ram Krishna Dhakal), Gangalal ko Jasto mutu (Shiva Pariyar), Timro Man Bata (Pramod Kharel), Ma ta hajur van ko driver (Udit Narayan Jha), Jhilimili Gaun Gharai Ramailo (Deepa Narayan Jha), Ko Sanga Chaina Afno Simana (Mohammed Aziz) etc. Most of the Nepalese singers have sung his compositions. He received Nepal Bidhya Bhusan in 2003 for being faculty topper in M.A. in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. He is also the Deputy Director of Radio Nepal. On 19 May 2016, he participated an environmental song by 365 Nepali artists lyrics and music by Nipesh Dhaka, in entitled Melancholy which set a Guinness World Records.

Ganesh Parajuli is a Nepali singer and composer with a career spanning over 25 years. He has recorded more than 100 songs for Radio Nepal, many of which are preserved in its library. His music covers a range of genres, including modern, classical, folk, and patriotic songs. His first recorded song, "Kehi Khusi Ka Din Pani", was produced in 1988 at Altra Sound Studio, which later became Music Nepal. Some of his most popular songs include "Timilai Apanau Bhanera", "Maya Phool Ho Maya Pat Ho", and "Suna Maya Jadai Chhu Ma Tadha". Ganesh Parajuli has performed internationally, traveling to over a dozen countries for musical tours. He has also received multiple awards, including Nai Kala Nidhi Sangeet Samman (2061 B.S.) and recognition from Ilam Municipality as the best singer of the year (2045 B.S.).
