Born on January 17, 1980, in Birtamod, Jhapa, he studied film at Oscar International College. His directorial debut Loot (2012) became a cult hit, followed by acclaimed films like Talakjung vs Tulke (2014) and Loot 2 (2017). As an actor, he starred in Kabaddi Kabaddi, Dui Rupaiyan, and Prasad. Known for blending realism, dark humor, and social commentary, Basnet is married to actress Swastima Khadka. His work continues to shape the narrative and technical evolution of Nepali cinema.

Gopal Bhutani (born Gopal Tamang, 1932 – November 23, 2010) was a pioneering Nepali art director, actor, and action choreographer who shaped the visual language of Nepali cinema. Born in Fikkal, Ilam, he began his film journey in Bollywood in the 1940s before returning to Nepal, where he introduced action direction to a melodrama-dominated industry. Despite his immense contributions, he struggled to obtain Nepali citizenship due to the “Bhutani” surname. Bhutani worked on over 70 films, including Balidaan, Aago, Shankar, Mamaghar, Shiris Ko Phool, and Jeevan Sangharsha. He passed away at age 78 from stomach cancer. His legacy remains foundational in Nepali film aesthetics and action choreography.

Kiran Nepali is a Nepali film artist, actor, and producer known for his expanding contributions to contemporary Nepali cinema. Originally from Nuwakot, he has spent over a decade working across multiple roles in the industry, building a reputation for bringing fresh perspectives and grounded storytelling to mainstream and commercial films.He has been involved in several notable Nepali films, including Doli, Love Day, Poi Paryo Kale, and Dui Nambari, with the latter two achieving strong commercial success. His work reflects a blend of creative ambition and industry experience, contributing both in front of and behind the camera.Kiran is currently engaged in the post‑production of his film Hattichaap and is preparing new projects such as Dui Numbari 2 and Soli Doli, the latter of which he is directing marking his transition from producer to filmmaker.Beyond cinema, he is also active in entrepreneurial and cultural sectors and holds leadership roles in Nepali social organizations, reflecting his broader engagement with community and cultural development.
