Raman Ghimire

Born in Madi, Rambeni Sankhuwasava on July 29, 1966, Yogendra Mani Dahal discovered his love for music early on. Since 2001, he has been writing lyrics, releasing albums like Akshyar (2004), Players (2006), So Far (2008), and Yatra (2009), with his latest work, Smriti, on the way. Influenced by legendary lyricists Ratna Shamser Thapa, Kali Prasad Rijal, and Dinesh Adhikari, his journey started with Deepesh Kishor Bhattarai’s album FOREVER, where his first lyrics were featured. He remains deeply thankful to Deep Shrestha, Raju Singh, Deepesh Kishor Bhattarai, Sanjeev Singh, and Saroj Dutta for their unwavering support. For Yogendra, music isn’t just entertainment—it’s a reflection of life, emotions, and culture. He hopes future generations will treasure and preserve the artistry within lyrics and songs.

Bijay Shivakotee is a respected Nepali lyricist and poet active since 1986, celebrated for his emotionally resonant, conversational writing style. His songs—including Bihani Seet Bani, Mero Pani Yaad Aaucha, Chaina Jun, and Thaha Chaina Kun Mod—have become enduring favorites, shaping modern Nepali music with their simplicity, depth, and lasting cultural impact.

Madhab Raj Kharel  (Madhab Kharel) is a prominent figure in the Nepali film industry. He began his career in 1998 with his first written and directed drama, "Jana Chetana," which became immensely popular in Nepal at that time. Following the success of "Jana Chetana," he produced and directed telefilms such as "Kasur" and "Kasto Yo Jiwan." Throughout his career, Kharel has directed several films that focus on human rights, love stories, research-based subjects, and women's rights. Some notable films in his directorial portfolio include "Hyebe Karait Bhor," "Birano Maya," "Dhunge Yug" (the first Nepali Silence movie ), "Dhunge Yug ... The Human Civilization," "Gadhimai 2066," "Durgamandu" & "Chitthi" In addition to his filmography, Kharel has directed around two dozen plus documentary films and over two dozen music videos to date. His contributions to the industry have been recognized through various awards and honors. Some of the accolades he has received include the Jury in Samjhana Digital Film Award (D-Cine Award) 2010, Sudaradevi Music Award in 2015 and 2018, Music Khabar Music Award in 2015, Model Songs Awards in 2018, Nepal Cultural International Film Festival in 2018 & 2021, Sagarmatha Music Award in 2018, Rastriya Sangeetkarmi Music Award in 2018, National Entertainment Award in 2021, and the Nepal-Africa Film Festival in 2021 & 2022. Kharel also holds a Guinness World Records, and he has been honored with the Best Director Awards and has also been decorated with the prestigious 'Prabal Janasewa Shree - Fourth' for his enormous contribution in Nepali cinema and arts. Ramesh Dahal is a Nepali lyricist who is writing lyrics for two and a half decades. Ramesh was born as an elder son of Pashupati Prasad and mother Balkumari Dahal in Dolakha. He has penned over a thousand songs. Among them, around three hundred songs are in the playlist of music lovers. He earned MSc. in Environmental Science & Policy from the USA (Source: Naya Youbodh, Dec 14, 2019). Also, he has taken online lyrics writing classes from Canvas.net and Sameer Anjaan, an Indian lyricist. Ramesh's journey on writing lyrics has begun as a poet. However, he turned himself writing lyrics from 1990. Latter, the writing became a kind of passion and now it is a responsibility of him to portray the lyrics for the listeners from each corner. The learning from real-world work experience has enabled him to captures the heart touching subject matters of very common people (Source: Music Khabar, January 1, 2020). Latter, Ramesh extends knowledge conducting research on Nepali music, songs and their impacts on the transformation of Nepali society. He expresses that after a certain time of contribution to a particular field, the experiences need to be shared with the wide arena. Keeping the fact in mind, Ramesh has written dozens of research articles that may serve as a reference to the interested persons who explore Nepali songs and music (Source: Annapurnapost, October 20, 2019). Also, Ramesh enjoys writing lyrics/poems on global issues in the English language. These creations seem meaningful in the international music market.
