The Shadows ‘Nepal’ is a hard rock band hailing from Narayangarh, Chitwan, Nepal. Established in 1997, they made their debut with the album “Suna Hamro Sano Awaaz”. Their second album, “Hidne Manche Ladcha”, achieved success in the Nepali market and earned them accolades for the best band, best music, and best performance in 2006. The band’s influential lyrics often touch on social issues and awareness. Their current lineup includes: Swapnil Sharma (Vocals) Prakash Rasaily (Guitars) Sujan Manandhar (Guitars) Sahil Risal (Drums) Amit Pradhan (Bass) Rupesh Sen served as their band manager for a significant period. Shweta Punjali, a talented Nepali musician, gained recognition for her debut album “Udaan”. Several songs from this album received nominations at various national music awards. Notably, she won the Best New Talent award at the 2016 Nepali Music Video Awards and was also a nominee for Best Newcomer at the 2015 Tuborg Image Music Awards. Shweta primarily sings in the Nepali Adhunik style, which combines traditional melodies from Nepal with influences from Western instruments like electric piano, guitar, violin, and percussion. Her repertoire extends to bhajans (religious songs) and Nepali classical music. Additionally, she has participated in national music reality shows such as Nepali Tara (second season) and Bagina. Her training under the highly respected music teacher Gurudev Kamat at the Nepal Music Centre encompasses both classical and contemporary styles of Nepali singing1. Shweta’s musical journey reflects her versatility and dedication to her craft.

Born in Kathmandu, Nepal and now based in Toronto, Canada, Astha is an indie alternative pop singer-songwriter-sound engineer. She’s known for her charismatic voice and unique sound backed by her acoustic guitar and carefully crafted beats. Astha’s music is melodic, direct and emotional with lyrics that explore the depths of the human psyche: spirit, mind and emotions. Her music echoes the influence of various genres such as pop, folk and R&B. With 4 studio albums under her belt with full length album- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Nisha Deshar (निशा देशार) is a distinguished Nepali singer renowned for her contributions to the genres of ghazals and modern Nepali songs. Born on December 12, 1984 (Poush 27, 2041 B.S.), in Chapagaun, Lalitpur, Nepal, she is the daughter of Gyanlal Deshar and Chiri Maya Deshar. Nisha's musical journey commenced in 2001 (2058 B.S.) with her debut recording in the Nepal Bhasha language. She holds a Diploma in Music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and has pursued academic studies, completing her SLC from Prerana Mahila Bidhyalaya and +2 from Bagmati Community Campus, majoring in English. Throughout her career, Nisha has released several albums, including:​ Lokarpan (2067 B.S.): A collection of ghazals and modern songs.​ Nisha (2070 B.S.): A compilation in the Nepal Bhasha language.​ Sharab (2071 B.S.): An album dedicated to ghazals.​ Her melodious voice and emotive performances have earned her accolades such as the Image Award, Bindabasini Award, Kalika Award, and the Rapati National Ghazal Award. In addition to her recordings, Nisha actively engages in nurturing young talent. She served as the chief guest at the Inter School Nepali Ghazal Singing Competition organized by DAV School, where she performed and motivated aspiring singers.
