Melwa Devi Gurung

Master Mitrasen Thapa Magar (1895–1946) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, dramatist, social reformer, and cultural ambassador whose work laid the foundation for organized Nepali folk performance. Born in Bhagsu, Dharamshala, he served in the Gurkha Regiment before dedicating his life to music, theatre, and community upliftment. He performed widely across India and Nepal, including Kathmandu Durbar, where he presented folk songs, dramas, and shamanic‑influenced performances, earning high recognition and public felicitation. His mission was to preserve Nepali identity among diaspora communities through art, discipline, and cultural pride. Master Mitrasen recorded seven gramophone discs in Calcutta, a rare achievement for a Nepali artist of his era. Out of his 63 known compositions, 23 songs survive in recorded form. In 1942, he wrote “Buddhvaani” in Nepali to spread messages of peace, compassion, and social harmony. He passed away in 1946 while on a cultural tour, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire Nepali folk musicians worldwide.

Surya Shyangden is an Nepalese singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Born in Old Baneshwor Ktm, Nepal. Shyangden attended Conservatory but disenrolled and moved to AIM(Australian Institute Of Music)in 2016. Working on a band (PRAYOM) as a frontman and Guitarist, started to write songs and composed them. Since 1998 involving on a band,  started a new career as a Sound Engineer as NEPTUNE Recording Studio. During on a band, wrote and composed a song like, "DAMI GANJA", "AUNDAI CHU","SUNGAVA" and many other. Among them "AUNDAI CHU" got nominated on 5 category of 70th Hits F.M music award. Recently he released "Ma Jujuman", Nepalese EDM song on youtube. Approximately living 12yrs in Australia, he came back to Nepal to do something in Nepalese music industry and wanna help upcoming fresh talent to put their level on a peak.

Satyakala Rai is a talented Nepali singer known for her rich vocals and heartfelt interpretations across folk, pop, and film music. Active since the early 2000s, she has captivated audiences with her ability to convey deep emotion through melody. Her popular songs include: Daiba Kasam Sake Joban Diula Maya (from Kandetar) Koshi Bagar Winaayo Ko Dhun Runchhani Mero Man Timi Ma Sanga Nabolne Are ID Cardai Le She has released albums like Dharapani Ma, Gunaso, and Phool Fulyo Baisama, and continues to be a prominent voice in both studio recordings and live performances.

Anuska Pathak is a Nepali singer who has established herself as a leading voice in the industry over the past two decades. She completed her formal music education from Kalanidhi Indira Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in 2068 BS (2011/2012 AD) and released her debut album Maya Ko Sansar in 2069 BS (2012/2013 AD). The album’s standout track “Raharma Hunchha Maya” earned notable recognition and marked the beginning of her professional musical rise.Her vocal repertoire includes well‑loved songs such as “Raharma Hunchha Maya,” “Chhuttiye Pachhi Ta Chhutyo,” “Manko Daag,” “Hamro Sambandha,” “Bho Malai Chahinna,” “Maya Ko Sansar,” “Ghurghur,” “Phuleko Baish,” and “Shirphule Maya.” These songs have been appreciated by listeners and audiences for their emotional depth and melodic clarity.Alongside singing, Pathak has also written several of her own songs, many of which have already been recorded. She has occasionally appeared in her own music videos as well. Her musical style blends modern Nepali melody with folk influences, creating a sound characterized by emotional expression, lyrical sensitivity, and musical diversity.
