Born in february 5, 1988. Bred in Kathmandu Valley. Started performing at the age of 5. After ending up as the second runner up in national level broadcasted singing competition 'Nepal Star - 2005' at the age of 16 ; continued music studies in Kathmandu University later in affiliation with SOAS ( University of London ). Currently studying Masters in music. Field of expertise in occidental and oriental music in general. Which includes Music - research, business, analysis; musicology, singing-song writing, composing, arranging & production ( contemporary styles, orchestration, background scoring, vocal designing ). Avash Joshi is a Kathmandu‑based Nepali musician, arranger, composer, vocalist, and guitarist active in Nepal’s independent rock and metal scene. His work is characterized by self‑produced compositions, where he frequently handles lyrics, music, vocals, arrangement, recording, mixing, and mastering himself — a rare full‑stack production approach in Nepali music.His early work includes the track “Pretatma”, where he is credited for lyrics, music, vocals, arrangement, recording, mixing, and mastering . He maintains a presence on ReverbNation as a metal artist from Kathmandu, Nepal, showcasing his identity within the heavier genres of Nepali music .Joshi continues to release original music through A&J Studio, where he performs as vocalist, guitarist, and arranger. His 2026 release “Baal Metal Geet” features him on vocals, guitar, and arrangements, supported by a full band and produced at A&J Studio in Tahachal .

Gopal Yonjan (1943–1997) was a towering figure in Nepali music—an accomplished singer, lyricist, music director, arranger, flutist, and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Darjeeling, India, he began his musical journey with the flute, winning accolades as a young performer. His deep study of Nepali folk, Rabindra Sangeet, and classical traditions shaped a career that spanned over three decades and more than 2,000 compositions. Yonjan moved to Kathmandu in 1967 to pursue his MA in Nepali and taught music at prestigious schools while composing for Radio Nepal, Nepal Police Club, and films. His partnership with Narayan Gopal is considered the golden era of Nepali modern music. He was known for blending poetic depth with rich orchestration, often writing, composing, and arranging his own songs. His works spanned genres—patriotic, romantic, philosophical, spiritual, and children's music. He was honored with the Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, Chinnalata Song Award, and multiple Best Music Director titles. His legacy continues to inspire generations of musicians and listeners.
