This early exposure paved the way for a prolific career spanning over four decades.​ In 1986, Mithila made her film debut in "Biswas," portraying a dance teacher—a role that underscored her dual talents in acting and dance. Her performances in films such as "Mukundo: Mask of Desire" (2000), "Karma" (2006), and "Undone by Love" (2004) have been particularly acclaimed, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress.
