Kuma Sagar

Hira Devi Waiba (1940–2011) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer whose voice became the soul of traditional Nepali music. Born in Ambootia, Darjeeling, she was the first artist to professionally record Nepali folk songs, including the first-ever Tamang Selo track “Chura ta Hoina Astura.” Her career spanned over four decades, during which she recorded more than 300 songs and worked with prestigious platforms like All India Radio, BBC, and His Master’s Voice. She was the first Nepali folk artist to be signed by Music Nepal and remains the only Grade A folk singer with All India Radio. Her timeless songs like “Phariya Lyaaidiyechan” and “Ramri Ta Ramri” continue to resonate across generations. After her passing in 2011, her children Navneet and Satya Aditya Waiba revived her legacy through the tribute project Ama Lai Shraddhanjali. Hira Devi Waiba remains a cultural icon and guardian of Nepali folk heritage.    

Dalbahadur (Surname Unknown)Singer/ComposerDalbahadur is considered one of the early contributors to Nepali modern jhyaure and folk‑based recordings, active since around BS 1965 (AD 1908/1909). Archival research shows that he recorded 2 songs in BS 1970 (AD 1913/1914). Nischal Basnet is a celebrated Nepali director, actor, writer, and playback singer known for revolutionizing modern Nepali cinema. Born on January 17, 1980, in Birtamod, Jhapa, he studied film at Oscar International College. His directorial debut Loot (2012) became a cult hit, followed by acclaimed films like Talakjung vs Tulke (2014) and Loot 2 (2017). As an actor, he starred in Kabaddi Kabaddi, Dui Rupaiyan, and Prasad. Known for blending realism, dark humor, and social commentary, Basnet is married to actress Swastima Khadka. His work continues to shape the narrative and technical evolution of Nepali cinema.

Shamita Shrestha is a Nepalese singer and model. She initially got 'Best Photogenic' by participating in a pageant called "Mrs Beautiful Nepal" and later acted in the song "Maya garchhu" as the first music video. Now making her first musical gift "Mutu ra Timi ma", with the introduction of the model itself. Which was directed by ArtistNepal.com founder Nava Dhungel.
