Jitendra Bardewa (Nepali: जितेन्द्र बर्देवा; 8 March 1942 – 2 July 1995) was one of the legendary figures of Nepali music and is widely regarded as one of the "Trimurti" (Trinity) of modern Nepali music. A gifted singer, songwriter, composer, music arranger, sitar player, and presenter, he made remarkable contributions to the development of Nepali modern music and remains one of its most versatile and influential musicians.Born in Darjeeling, India, Bardewa developed a deep interest in music from an early age. He became one of the closest and most accomplished disciples of the legendary Amber Gurung, who played a pivotal role in shaping his musical career. In 1956, Bardewa succeeded his mentor as the Head of the Music Department of the Lok Manoranjan Branch in Darjeeling, continuing the institution's rich musical legacy.Early in his career, Bardewa joined the renowned musical ensemble Sangam Club, alongside Peter J. Karthak, Sharan Pradhan, Ranjit Gazmer, and Aruna Lama. During his time with the group, he emerged as a talented singer and lyricist. One of Sangam Club's most memorable songs, "Hera Na Hera Kancha," a duet by Aruna Lama and Jitendra Bardewa, won a major music competition and remains one of the most cherished classics in Nepali music.Seeking greater artistic freedom, Bardewa later established his own musical group, Shravan, where his extraordinary talent flourished. As a sitar player, lyricist, composer, singer, music arranger, and presenter, he excelled in all six disciplines, earning widespread admiration for his creativity and musical excellence.Jitendra Bardewa wrote, composed, arranged, and performed many timeless Nepali songs that continue to resonate with listeners today. His best-known classics include "Ek Raat Thiyo Bharkharkai Thiyo," "Kopilamai," "Dhalkija Hai Joban Din Dhalke Jastai," and "Ban Dadheko Dekhinchha Hai," along with numerous other memorable compositions. His songs are celebrated for their poetic lyrics, rich melodies, and sophisticated musical arrangements.Throughout his career, Bardewa helped elevate the artistic standard of Nepali modern music by blending classical influences with contemporary musical expression. His versatility and dedication earned him lasting respect among musicians and audiences alike, making him one of the defining architects of Nepali music's golden era.Jitendra Bardewa passed away on 2 July 1995 at the age of 53. Although his life was cut short, his extraordinary body of work continues to inspire generations of singers, composers, and music lovers. Today, he is remembered as one of the greatest pioneers of Nepali modern music, whose timeless creations remain an invaluable part of Nepal's musical heritage.

Kalyan Singh is a Nepali composer and songwriter. His works include Santosh Lama‘s ‘Batuwa’, Hemanta Rana‘s ‘Raat Ki Raani’ and ‘Muskaan’, and Nima Rumba’s ‘Jaadu’, among others. He has also directed music for films — ‘Visa Girl’, ‘Mukhauta’ and ‘Hasiya’. With the knack of composing different styles of music, he is one of the capable composers of Nepali industry. Musical roots Singh was born on March 2, 1983. He was born into a musical family. His father, Bhagat Singh was an instrumentalist who worked at Radio Nepal and it was him who taught him music. He started learning music with the harmonium. By the age of seven, he had learnt the violin. Even though he learned and played music in the next several years, he had not planned to pursue music professionally. On the other hand, nobody in his family thought that he would be in the music filed. Turning point After completing his Bachelors level of education in 2002/3, Singh wanted to go to Australia for his further studies. But he was turned down and so he picked up music instead. With the help of his brother, renowned music director Raju Singh, he debuted as a singer with his first album titled ‘Fly’ in 2005/6. Singh had written and composed five songs out of seven tracks for ‘Fly’. However, ‘Fly’ didn’t go well. And so, he chose to become a composer. Moreover, an incident took place at one of the FM stations during the promotion of ‘Fly’. The ‘hurting’ episode made him determined to become a composer as he felt, “I won’t come to this FM station but my music will.” If that incident hadn’t taken place in his life, he wouldn’t have worked hard and become a composer. His willpower to become a composer was further supported and encouraged by photographer, cover designer, Lyricist Anil Sthapit.

He served as Music Producer and Orchestrator for the highest‑grossing Hindi film “Dhurandhar”, and has contributed to major projects including “Bads of Bollywood,” “Kesari Chapter 2,” and “Article 370.” His international portfolio includes a collaboration with two‑time award‑winning Hollywood composer Art Phillips. Now based in Australia, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and has performed at the Sydney Opera House, proudly representing Nepali culture on a global stage.

Biraj Gautam is a Nepali singer, songwriter, and music producer known for crafting melodic, emotionally expressive songs that blend modern Nepali pop with contemporary production. Active in both studio creation and independent music releases, he writes, composes, and produces his own tracks, shaping a distinct sonic identity rooted in heartfelt lyrics and clean musical arrangements. As an emerging creator in Nepal’s modern music scene, he continues to build his catalog through original compositions and collaborative projects.
