Sanjaya Chaudhary is a multifaceted Nepali artist—singer, radio jockey, and media personality—whose journey from Bahera, East Chitwan, to Kathmandu has been marked by a deep passion for music and storytelling. Early Life and Education Born on July 4th in Bahera, East Chitwan, Nepal, Sanjaya is the eldest of four brothers. His formative years were spent at Shree Kankali Secondary School and Nepal Madyamik Vidyalaya in his hometown. Later, he pursued higher education at Sahid Smriti Multiple College in Tandi, where his interest in music began to take shape. Career in Media In 2058 BS, Sanjaya embarked on his media career by joining Synergy FM, marking his entry into the world of radio. His journey continued in Kathmandu, where he currently serves as a radio jockey at Capital FM, engaging audiences with his voice and presence. Musical Journey and Debut Album Samaya While his media career flourished, Sanjaya's true passion lay in music. His debut album, Samaya, is a testament to his dedication and artistic vision. Lochan Rijal is a multi-instrumentalist, a singer, songwriter and a scholar of ethnomusicology. Born in the Panchthar district of Nepal, he grew up around music performed at festivals by the local people of that region. The experience influenced him to explore the potential of sound and develop his passion into his profession. While in college, he began teaching music to school children in Kathmandu while also working in the pop and rock music scene, producing award-winning albums, before moving onto something that fed his scholarly ambitions. In 2014, he graduated with a PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Massachusetts and Kathmandu University. He also works as the associate professor and Head of Kathmandu University’s Department of Music.

Ekanarayan Bhandari is an established Nepali lyricist, composer, and music creator known for his contributions to folk, lok‑dohori, sugam, and modern music. Born on Ashoj 21, 2038 B.S. (October 7, 1981) in Gezha, Galyang Municipality‑9, Syangja, he has built a distinct musical identity by successfully blending Nepal’s authentic folk melodies with contemporary musical styles.With a career spanning more than three decades, Bhandari has written and composed hundreds of popular songs, including major hits in both folk and film music. His creations have played a significant role in preserving Nepali folk essence while making it accessible and appealing to newer generations.Growing up in a rural environment, Bhandari was deeply influenced by local culture, folk tunes, and traditional musical practices. His early fascination with music evolved into a lifelong creative journey, helping him secure a respected place in Nepal’s music industry.He recorded his first song in 2054 B.S. (1997 A.D.), titled “Deuralima Hawa Chalyo.” This debut marked the beginning of his professional musical career and introduced him as a promising lyricist and composer. Since then, he has continuously created songs across lok‑dohori, modern, and film genres, earning widespread admiration.Bhandari’s works often reflect Nepali society, culture, love, nature, lived experiences, and deep folk sensitivity. His simple yet expressive words, emotional depth, and melodious compositions have made his songs popular among listeners of all ages. He is widely recognized for his role in preserving the authenticity of Nepali folk music while presenting it in a modern, relatable form.
