Born in february 5, 1988. Bred in Kathmandu Valley. Started performing at the age of 5. After ending up as the second runner up in national level broadcasted singing competition 'Nepal Star - 2005' at the age of 16 ; continued music studies in Kathmandu University later in affiliation with SOAS ( University of London ). Currently studying Masters in music. Field of expertise in occidental and oriental music in general. Which includes Music - research, business, analysis; musicology, singing-song writing, composing, arranging & production ( contemporary styles, orchestration, background scoring, vocal designing ). Instrumentalist of guitar, piano ( contemporary Jazz, classical ), Vocal ( styles: Khayal, Dhrupad, Belcanto - tenor, rock-pop, R&B, Rap ), local instruments ( Dhimay baja, madal, Sarangi )

Sudip Giri (born April 25, 1982, Chitwan) is a Nepali pop singer, songwriter, and composer known for his emotional modern‑pop style and widely loved hits such as Timi Aaja Bholi, Tutnu Thiyo Tutyo Mutu, Sannani Ko, Na Bijaune Phool, and Ma Ta Timrai Ho Ni. He began his musical journey in the early 2000s, first performing with the Chitwan‑based band Octave‑C before moving to Kathmandu for formal vocal and harmonium training.His debut album CANVASS (2000) became one of the successful pop albums of its time, followed by FRENZ (2005) and KATHA (2009). Many of his songs from these albums—especially Timi Aaja Bholi, Tutnu Thiyo Tutyo Mutu, Katha, and Sannani Ko—remain among the most streamed Nepali pop tracks on digital platforms.Sudip’s music blends heartfelt lyrics, soft‑rock influences, and melodic phrasing, making him a recognizable voice in Nepal’s 2000s–2010s pop era. His EP Canvass (2019 re‑release) and later singles such as Thikai Vo and Pritiko Mala Gaser continue to keep his catalog active across YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Deezer.He has received multiple honors including the Image Award (Best New Artist, 2004), Kalika Awards (Best Vocal 2004, Best Composer 2006), Dhuk Dhuki Award (2004), and nominations at Hits FM Music Awards. He has toured internationally in the USA, Hong Kong, Qatar, India, and Nepal.

Sunil Upreti is a prominent Nepali pop singer and guitarist whose career emerged in the 1990s, gaining recognition as one of the defining voices of Nepal’s early pop era. He began as the vocalist and guitarist of the Prism Band and later performed with The Legend Band before establishing himself as a solo artist known for his expressive singing style and melodic guitar work. His signature hit “Sagar Jhai Gahiro” became a cultural milestone of the decade, followed by several well‑loved songs that strengthened his presence in the Nepali pop scene. Even after moving abroad, Upreti remained closely connected to Nepali music through interviews, retrospectives, and continued creative engagement, maintaining his influence as both a vocalist and a guitarist within Nepal’s modern pop history.

Koili Devi Mathema (1929–2007) was a trailblazer in the Nepali music industry, celebrated as the first woman lyricist, singer, and composer. Born as Radha Basnet in Chisapani Gadhi, Makwanpur, Nepal, she was affectionately nicknamed "Koili" (meaning "cuckoo bird") for her melodious voice. Her career began at Radio Nepal after the establishment of democracy in Nepal, and she went on to record over 4,000 songs, including modern and patriotic pieces. She also composed iconic songs like "Jahi ra juhi phul mala gansi duwaile launla." Koili Devi received numerous accolades, including the Gorkha Dakshin Bahu V and Chinnalata Music Award, for her contributions to Nepali music.
