He is the writer and director of Laalimaa (2026), one of Nepal’s most talked‑about social‑drama films, based on the struggles, trauma, and lived realities of women forced into prostitution. His storytelling blends psychological depth, social justice themes, and character‑driven emotional arcs. Miraz is also the Founder‑Director of FAITH (Friends Affected & Infected Together in Hand), an organization established in 2005 that works in social advocacy and community‑based empowerment. He has been active as a filmmaker with 21 Filmdocs since 2012, producing both fiction and non‑fiction works across Kathmandu and Hamburg.

Hira Singh Khatri is regarded as one of the earliest architects of Nepali cinema, best known for directing Aama (1964), the first Nepali feature film produced in Nepal under the Royal Nepal Film Corporation. His work marked the formal beginning of Nepal’s national film industry, establishing narrative, technical, and production standards for future filmmakers. Ganesh Dev Pandey is a Nepali film director, writer, and screenwriter known for his socially rooted storytelling and his contribution to modern independent Nepali cinema. He made his directorial debut with Malati Ko Bhatti (2012), followed by the romantic drama Manjari (2013), both of which helped establish his reputation as a filmmaker with a distinct narrative voice.He gained wider recognition with Gaja Baja (2018), Nepal’s first stoner‑comedy, which sparked national debate after the Film Development Board initially refused registration due to its title. Pandey challenged the decision in the Supreme Court and won after a two‑year legal battle, marking a landmark moment for freedom of expression in Nepali cinema.His later works include Julebi (2023), a multi‑narrative urban romance praised for its authentic portrayal of modern relationships. He has also written and produced Chini Kam Rang Kada (2020), further showcasing his versatility.

Shivam Adhikari is a prominent Nepali screenwriter, director, and dialogue writer active in the film industry since the early 2000s. Credited across more than 60 films as story, screenplay, and dialogue writer—and at times as director, lyricist, and cast member—he has worked on titles such as Meri Aama (2004), Swabhiman (2010), Sanglo (2019), Kopila (2020), and the recent Pariwartan (2026). His writing has earned multiple major award nominations, including for Panchayat and Parai, establishing him as one of contemporary Nepali cinema’s key narrative architects.
