(DOP • Cinematographer • Camera & Electrical Department • Nepali Film Industry) Maan Krishna Maharjan is a Nepali Director of Photography (DOP) and cinematographer known for his work on major Nepali feature films, including Pitaambar (2025), Pradeshi 2 (2023), Prem Geet (2022), Sanglo (2020), Chhakka Panja 3 (2018), Tshering (2018), Rani (2017), and Bato Muniko Phul 2 (2016). Active since 2011, he has contributed to the industry as a cinematographer, media consultant, script analyst, and camera & electrical department specialist, making him one of the most versatile visual technicians in modern Nepali cinema. Known for his clean visual framing, controlled lighting, and emotionally grounded camera language, Maharjan works across commercial blockbusters, romantic dramas, action films, and music videos. His upcoming project Sydney Blues (pre‑production) further expands his portfolio into international‑themed storytelling.

His deep familiarity with Kathmandu’s neighborhoods gave him unique access and insight, allowing him to document everything from political upheavals to quiet moments of daily life. Even as he approached retirement, Bajracharya remained humble and hopeful about the next generation of photographers, praising their speed and adaptability in the digital age.
